The Chinese Flagship Program, the China Center, and the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Minnesota invites students to create their own film in Chinese.

Thursday, October 26, 2023, 10:00am-1:00p at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus at Coffman Memorial Union in the Coffman Theater.

Submission Categories

  • Chinese Immersion Schools Grades, 6-12
  • Non-Immersion Schools, Grades 6-12
  • College level

Topic

Students should pick a 成语 or Chinese idiom of their choice to explain and create a story!

Film Requirements

Each microfilm should...

  • Be 5-8 minutes long
  • Be all in Chinese with captions in both English and Chinese

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for best overall film, best leading actor, popularity voted by students, and more!
